Toothless Wonder

At the end of our trip, my parents drove us back to Spokane airport and we flew home so that Ryan wouldn't have to be by himself on the 4Th and his birthday. During the 3 hour car ride, Elle was working on a tooth that had been loose for a long time, and it popped out right before we got to the airport. Then while we were waiting to get on the plane, the one right next to it popped out. She was pulling on it and it was bleeding a little, but it was just hanging by that one little thread. She showed me the napkin she was using and it's a good thing I looked close because I almost threw it away, but there was her little tooth. Needless to say, she was super excited about the tooth fairy coming to visit that night.

Montana

We also were able to take an RV trip up to Montana with my family this year. Unfortunately, Ryan couldn't go, but the girls and I went, and my nephew, Sam, also went. We went to some fun places, but mostly the best part about going to Montana is hanging out doing a whole lot of nothin'. The kids got to do A LOT of fireworks and just play with their cousins. Before we left, they parked the RV here for a couple of days and we went boating at Cherry Creek. Elle, Sam, and Jake loved the tube ride, Reese wouldn't even go near it.

On the road again... The kids did pretty good for a 2 day trip, but they got a little bored the 2ND day. It is nice to be in the RV where they have room to move a little though. We spent the night in Sheridan, Wyoming and it rained when we got there all night. So we had to stay in the RV and watch Tangled instead of getting the wiggles out on the playground or in the pool. Fun times!!

Reese-isms

Reese just says the funniest things sometimes. We went to lunch with Ryan today and I took her to the bathroom when we got there and we were being sort of quiet since we were in the office building. So she asks me, "Why is dad being quiet mom?" And I said, "I don't know just becasue it is quiet in here." So she says, "I guess dad's just a quiet boy." So then I was eating a sandwich that had sprouts on it. She looked at me and goes, "Mom, there's grass on your sandwich." The way she said it was so funny, like she just couldn't understand why I was eating grass. Two minutes later she tells me to try her soda, the falvor was cherry vanilla creme. So I tried it and I said, "Mmm, that's good." She asks,"What flavor is it mom?" So I tell her the flavor and she goes, "Oh that's why it's so juicy and smooth."

4th of July

For the 4th we woke the kids up and surprised them by taking them out to breakfast in their pj's. We came home and got ready and of course had to make our usualt trip to Bass Pro Shops, aka the fish store. That night, we took a picnic and went to Thornton Rec Center and watched their firweorks show. We bought the kids some dessert as can be seen on Elle's face, and they just played around until the show started.

Girl Scouts

Elle also graduated from Daisies in May and is now an official Brownie girl scout. We had a ceremony for them to get their Brownie uniforms and books.

They also had a statewide bridging ceremony where all the girl scouts troops walked across the Royal Gorge to bridge to the next level. That was our first time to the Royal Gorge and the kids loved it.

Sleepovers

The girls also had a couple of sleepovers with their friends, Ady and Mackenzie, and do lots of silly things. Their latest shenanigan is to act like Bethany from Soul Surfer becuase they love that movie. They all hide their arms in their shirts and carry each other around on a pillow like they are on a stretcher. Crazy gals!

Summer

I know it has been forever since I have done this, I have had several people ask me what the heck has been going on. Summer was crazier even though I wasn't working for some reason. So our summer started off with a trip to Breckenridge with some friends, the Higginbothams, over Memorial Day weekend. We rented a big condo and the kids had a blast playing and fishing and making pottery and picnicking, etc... Ryan took our friend, Cory, and showed him the ropes of shooting and bike riding UP the side of a mountain. We all had a realy fun time, especially playing games at night after the kids went to bed.
