Christmas 2010

Christmas was great this year because both kids were so excited about Santa and they are both so happy about any kind of toy or anything they get. They are not too too picky yet. This year we started a new tradition that we wrap a picture of Jesus and that is the first present they open so that we can talk about the real reason we celebrate Christmas before they start with all the toys and craziness. They actually really liked it and it was a good chance to let them talk about the "reason for the season." I couldn't post too many pictures because I seemed to be in all of them and that would have been scary for everyone involved. Christmas morning is not a good time for me to be in pictures. I am in no pictures until Christmas morning when I look like death warmed over and then I am in the background of all of them.

Christmas Dresses

Every year for the holidays I get the girls sepcial dresses to wear to church the week before the holiday. I loved their Christmas dresses this year, I thought they looked so cute.

Funny Elle!

Last night, Elle and Reese and I were looking at my wedding pictures when Elle says, "Mom you look like you were really happy!" And I said, "yeah, we were." To Which she replies, "That's good, because once you're married you can't trade 'em in!" Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard!

Girl Scout Campout

Slacker, I know I am one! Elle and I went on a girl scout "campout" with her troop in December up in Genesse, Colorado. It was actually a cabin that is owned by Girl Scouts of Colorado called Twisted Pine lodge. It was really fun and the ladies stayed up way too late at night after we finally got the kids to go to bed. We went on a hike, baked A LOT (I swore on my life I would never ever bake again), played games, and did crafts. I made a batch of pumpkin bread and it looked perfectly perfect out of the oven. I went to taste it and I realized I had forgotten the sugar! So I had to rebake the bread!
I loved this picture of Elle and her friend Leea sleeping. The first night we went in and they had both fallen off their mats onto the hard floor.

The second night we went in and they were laying like this by each other. It was so adorable
